A Better Code is an independent think tank dedicated to advancing responsible technology across the tech sector. Founded in Amsterdam and working internationally, we bring together experts, practitioners and organisations to interrogate how technology shapes society – and how it can do better.
We believe responsibility is not an afterthought, but a guiding principle for innovation. Our work is rooted in the conviction that technology companies can and must lead in building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable digital future.
Our Mission
Our mission is to challenge, equip and inspire technology companies to embed responsibility at every level – from product design to boardroom decisions. We do this by:
Conducting rigorous, independent research into the ethical, social and environmental impacts of technology.
Convening leaders, practitioners and critics for honest dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
Developing frameworks, guidance and practical tools to help tech companies translate principles into action.
